New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has expressed hope that there is no question of India reaching a state of economic recession or rising inflation and falling demand.

According to a Bloomberg survey, the chances of a recession in India are zero.

Congress MPs walked out of the Lok Sabha amid the finance minister’s justification.

‘Despite many obstacles, we are up and moving forward. The full credit of being recognized as the fastest growing economy goes to the people of India,” She said.

“We have never seen such an epidemic situation…We have all tried to ensure that the people in our constituencies get the help they need. I have observed that all MPs and state governments have played their roles. Otherwise, compared to other parts of the world, India would not be in the position it is now, she praised the role of people’s representatives.

“Despite the pandemic and global problems, we are in a better position than many countries. Although we have not been able to grow as much as expected, we have continued to be a fast-growing economy,’ he said.
